So, now that we are slightly more settled in NYC, the time is probably right to tell y’all about our local area neighbourhood. We live in a Midtown neighbourhood called ‘Murray Hill‘. Oe thing is very noticible at the weekends in NY – various neighbourhoods like to put up stalls and have weekend markets or fairs 5, 10, 15 blocks long. A lot of these are repetitive – food stall, lemonade stall, clothes stall, music cd stall, fake jewellery stall, I Love NY tshirt stall.
One of the coolest part of Murray Hill is Grand Central station, which is around 7-10 minutes away from the apartment. Grand Central is exactly like it sounds – a beautiful structure, both inside and out.
Murray Hill is a nice and quiet neighbourhood, within 5-7 minutes from the East River, and about 5-7 minutes from the Empire State building. Check out the pics from our neihbourhood, Little Italy, China Town and Grand Central station on our Flikr Stream.
