The power of curiosity…

by biscuitinabasket on November 11, 2009

Further to yesterdays post on David versus Goliath, here is another instance where against all odds, William Kamkwamba extended the power of curiosity, and created a windmill to help sustain his family in one of the most poorest parts of the world.

Everytime I listen to this talk, I am stunned at the achievement of this kid and how he used his initiative to change his and the lives if the members of his family.

“So I would like to say something to all the people out there, like me, to the Africans, and the poorwho are struggling with your dreams, God bless.Maybe one day you will watch this on the Internet. I say to you, trust yourself and believe. Whatever happens don’t give up.”

The transcript of the talk can be found [here].
