I read fairly recently (and I cannot recall the source) that one should not be so proud, yet extremely humble, because they will either cause damage to others as well as someone else. I make sure I don't cross the line because I am very strong on ethics, and I largely know which buttons to push (i think) and which to stay away from. My "confidence" comes I think from setbacks in the past. It would be ridiculous to say that I have seen it all, but I always feel that if I am not pushing the limits in everything I do, I will not learn more (kind of self motivation). Life is about survival of the fittest.
