Inshallah… we’re working on getting him in touch with contacts and agents; he has 3 kids, 2 close to university going age – this is the last thing he needed. inshallah he will be ok

I hope so too – he is a strong personality, and fights his corner. He didn’t go quietly, but gone he has. Hoping and wishing for his better future now.

@Digital Nomad, Life can be so cruel indeed! Whatever the reasons for them to cut his position... it is tough for him and we can only hope and pray for the future for him and his family.

When I walked out with him on friday, we spoke… he was still in shock, I was trying to re-assure him… when I shook his hand before going our ways – I don’t think I have felt a hand shake that limp… it was almost like death.

I think he needs our prayers for sure.

i have had the most wierd night with breathin problems which i never had and yet i was so happy that it was raining
life is cruel, it has done us all its share some way or the other.

may i offer my prayers and good wishes for your friend, we all are united by the easiness of a prayer which He hears in the most unusual of circumstances.

That video was pretty amazing; it made me laugh, and I can’t help thinking that took a certain amount of bravery. If they apply the same kind of guts to their married life, and I’m sure they will, they’re going to be just fine.

I’m really sorry to read about your colleague. I remember a post from way back when saying that your company freezing salaries, and I thought “at least they are not laying people off!” I’m really sad that freezing salaries was not enough I hope your colleague lands on his feet very soon, inshaAllah. Odd, but I too have tears in my eyes for your friend.

Such is life, but the lows can be unbelievably cruel.
