Hallo meine freunde! Willkommen aus Zurich!
I don’t think I have blogged from outside of the UK mainland, so we are now officially International!! (such drama)
This post began it’s journey on a British Airways flight from London City Airport to Zurich; although it’s not the first time that a post for this blog has been conceived at 35,000 ft.
The sight outside is just beautiful, we are flying above the clouds, the sun shining from behind us – oh so bright; I am seated by the engine (which is surprisingly quiet), sipping away my lemonade on rocks. I made sure that my seat was towards the front, so that I had some shush to think, contemplate, read and I guess now – write this post.
There was a moment when we walked out of the terminal to board the plane, when I looked to the sky and saw the dark clouds which have been threatening their anger upon us all day. Indeed we felt some of its wrath early on Sunday morning, and it sure was not pleasant.
As we took off into those clouds, I whispered prayers to myself, hoping that we negotiated them safely. One cannot assume exit from the other end of these monsters. As we dived into them, the scenario changed; the moments can only be describes as serene and divine. As we entered the clouds, everything around us turned white and gray. It seemed as if we entered another realm; as if we entered heaven. Time stood still for a moment, and the plane didn’t go anywhere.
I have been here before…. this journey into the clouds… but when?
Looking down from the sky is always an amazing sight; when the sky is clear, observing the patterns of the terrain below is inspirational – it leaves me in awe of the beauty of this beautiful planet. What is even more beautiful though, is floating above the clouds – a blanket of clouds. I always have this vision of falling downwards from hundreds and thousands of feet above, and landing on something so soft, so magical, so soothing that it is almost impossible to describe.
It’s around 1am now, and as I lay on the bed (in the hotel), putting the final touches to this post, my mind drifts to that moment when we entered the big dark clouds. That place was nothing else but heaven – so beautiful and so spiritual. I have been dreaming with my eyes open off late, I have never done this before. In my dreams, I am in this heavenly place, where I float amongst the clouds with one other person… the one for me.
I remember now of my previous journey in the clouds; she was there too – lost in the heavens, searching for each other.
I will find you soon.
………………………………………
You guys have a great week ahead!

Ahhh, how romantic. I’ll definitely be thinking about this next time I go on a plane. Makes it less frightening
