Patience….

by biscuitinabasket on January 24, 2009

Patience is a strange thing…. I wonder if anyone can have enough patience ever…. How long can you wait before you snap? Are the most patient ones fools for not acting on “time”, or are they the wise ones for knowing when the time is right to act?

This week was one of those where I knew about the million things which I have had to do. Both at work and outside of it, I had to spend long periods of time, pulling in the reigns and holding back on execution of things on my list. This week has turned out to be one of those where I was in huge demand at work. I acually got loooooads of work done, but I have a feeling that I did not much. Why? Well, the work that I did do was to help others get on their way and meet deadlines. I tested the patience of some people by contradicting them, and I tested the patience of others by “overworking” them.

These week was a huge test for the next. The next 7 days will highlight the reputation of the company that I work for. I know there will be a lot of tempers, a lot of uneasiness, and a lot of tight schedules and deadlines; patience will be a huge factor in this period, and it will be interesting to see how we get through.

As part of the final week of NaBloPoMo, next week will see 10 guest bloggers (so far) participating on this blog. What will their patience be like, as they wait for their posts to appear?

I want to thank all the people who have been patient with me this week. I want to also thank all those who have been patient with me throughout life. If you know me well, and very few do, you know that I am quite blonde around the edges, but I always do what I say. If you stuck by me, then you will see me pull through.

I think patience is a rare quality, people ahve sometimes or majority of the time but I’ve yet to meet an individual who has full command over their emotions and can exercise patience in its truest form.
Thankfully, we have the Prophet SAW as a perfect example of patience and amazing threshold.
Cool reminder! :D
