I studied some at uni to a basic level and really enjoyed it. Sorry, but i've voted. Personally i'd like to learn both, i did try Chinese for a while but er...dont' know what happened and i stopped. So now if i get lost in china i could go around asking anyone whod listen if they knew english, thank them and say hello. And thats about it. No idea.

I've been down that road. Learning Arabic, and not any dialect, the real version called <i> fusha</i> is hard, challenging and a LOT of fun once you start figuring it out. It's like a cryptic puzzle. And it's ridiculously beautiful. Spanish is a REALLY close second though.... M Take it from me. I’ve been down that road.

It's a beautiful language, even though I always say it sucks because it's so difficult for me to learn. I've been learning it for five years at high school and can just about understand a few written sentences, and Im doing a GCSE in it in a few months time. :( I'd LOVE to be able to understand and speak it properly. Its not easy, and there are a lot of dialects. -I'm sure you know this - but I would suggest you learn fus'7a.
