My first movie review!! :D

As I entered the cinema for the first time since April 2007, you cannot understand my excitement of watching a movie on the large screen again. Such has been the pace of work and life, that it has taken a long long time to re-embrace a passion of mine – movies! The last movie in a cinema was 300, and it was pretty impressive on the large screen.

The Agenda for today – Hancock. I am a HUGE Will Smith fan – right from the days of Fresh Prince. He is a decent actor who can portray an array of roles. The movie itself was very good, I won’t ruin it for anyone – but it’s definately worth watching. It’s not hugely explosive, but the storyline is decent enough. If you watch closely enough – there seems to be a message in the movie too…. a very good message.

Ray (Bateman) is trying to get Hancock to sort himself out, and do something for himself. At the end of the movie, you realise 2 things – people who mean well, and try to help others do eventually get the appreciation and satisfaction of their work (you will see this twice when you watch the movie). Also, nice guys don’t always come last; it depends how hard you percevere for what you want to achieve….

Ok, so it’s a vague review, but although the movie is huge blockbuster, its still is a very good movie with a decent plot and story line. Go watch Hancock when you next go to the movies, it is worth the ticket.

I saw the trailers for The Forbidden Kingdom, I think I will have to catch this one too (I like mainstream kung-fu movies). The other one is Kung Fu Panda, which seems to be getting good reviews too – and although I am not into animated movies, this one seems funny.

I plan to put up a list of the movies in my library on the blog soon, so keep an eye out for that one…

Hancock was an amazing film, I think the whole homeless superhero was a great idea.I just wish it didn’t end so cliched. :|
