/ noun – an invitation or a suggestion to somebody that they should enter a competition, fight, etc.: to accept / take up a challenge
to mount a challenge
So this is how it goes….
One of my favourite bloggers has had a period of inactivity of late. Now I know he has been busy with his university exams and work etc etc etc…. but he was just being lazy for a large part! Now knowing the “competitive edge” of this guy, all you had to do was issue a challenge and POW he was in with a post! It’s as simple as that right?:) So why don’t we extend this concept then?
I issue a challenge to all the guys who come and read my posts (I know they exist because I have traffic woo hoo!) – Can you put together a post on your blog (if you have one)? Should you choose to accept the challenge, you need to (a) Post a comment on the challengers blog to accept the challenge, and (b) Post another comment to the challenger with the link to your post. This way – not only will you be an active blogger (whatever the quality of your post), but it would also ensure that other readers who care to go through the comments pick up on something new!
I think this is a decent idea to blow the dust off some of the creative minds, and get them posting again! It may be someone you know who hasn’t blogged in a while, someone you enjoy reading but has gone off the radar, or maybe someone unknown. Whoever it is – lets help them jump out of the “sabatical”, and start burning those feeds again!

Hmmm…I’ve been thinking about a blogger that I could do this with and can’t come up with one. The majority of the blogs that I read post daily.
Maybe you could follow some of the guys on my blogroll (which is in a desperate need of updating…) there are a couple of decent bloggers who just haven’t posted in a while… I guess new readership will boost their confidence *cough*ego*cough*
Also I have added you to my RSS list, and will update you in my blogroll as soon as I have 3 seconds!
I posted!!
thanks for that kick in the rear..it was much needed!
